Responsible travel is about the attitude you have and the choices you make when travelling – to respect and benefit the local people, their cultures, economies and the environment. As tourism becomes a truly global industry, we recognise our obligation to operate our tours in a responsible and sustainable fashion.
We minimise our impact on the environment by travelling in small groups, using local transportation, offsetting our carbon emissions, reducing waste and supporting conservation projects. We’ve worked hard at all of the mentioned points to ensure we are welcomed in the places we all love to visit, meaning local people benefit and our groups enjoy a better trip. All our staff and suppliers are trained on these principles, and are core to us delivering sustainable, experience-rich travel.
Our Style of Travel
Pause or power on, the choice is up to you: cherry-pick your sightseeing stops along the way, decide to linger a little over your lunch, or set off an hour earlier to catch the coolest part of the day.
At LIFE Run we have carefully chosen itineraries to showcase the best of the region. Our itineraries are designed with flexibility and comfort in mind. In many places we stay for two nights, giving you the option to run or take a break and relax instead. If you’d like to enjoy some more relaxing time, you can choose to add a day or two on to the beginning or end of your self-guided running holiday. Best of all, almost all of our self-guided tours depart daily, giving you greater flexibility when planning your active holiday. You can depart on any day of the week, get up when you want, run or walk at your own pace and take a break whenever and wherever you like.
Our self-guided tours offer the same quality, style, service and comfort of our guided tours. The only difference is that in a self-guided tour… you are the guide. And perhaps best of all, you don’t do any work to put the tour together. Our self guided trail running tours are truly the best of both worlds. You travel on your own terms with all the help and support (24/7) you need, so you can focus on what really matters to you the most.
We’ll provide you with detailed maps (1:25,000), directions and 24-hour emergency support in addition to handling all the necessary support and planning, from booking accommodation and transferring to providing local insights. On our self-guided trips, you’ll never feel rushed or alone. All our trail running tours are digitalised in gpx format and are useful for orientation in the user interface – app.
